Obesity, by definition, means your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher, which usually means you are 20 percent or more over ideal body weight. Morbid obesity is defined as having a BMI of 40 or higher and typically means that you are 100 pounds or more overweight. As the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States, obesity poses a major public health challenge.
A: Each patient follows a personalized program and undergoes a recommended series of one to three treatments in order to maximize results. Clinical studies have shown a measurable reduction in body circumference in most patients, even after a single treatment. The series of treatments is performed in one-month intervals, giving time for the body’s natural metabolic processes to safely clear away the destroyed fat cells. During these intervals, patients can treat other areas of the body and undergo other complementary procedures.

Phase 4: Maintenance: most people start this phase at week 12, though it does depend on how much weight you have to lose. During this phase I work with you to make the programme become a long term way of life. I show you how you can gradually expand your food list and explain which foods you should you should keep in moderation. You will end up in a place where you will instinctively know how to stay in balance.
This programme takes a new ground-breaking approach to weight loss and healthy eating! You’ll get much more than a new diet/eating plan – the programme will get to the root of why you overeat and continue to struggle with your weight. Above all else we’ll address the emotional and psychological aspects of your struggle with your weight and food, as well as covering motivation, stress, overcoming cravings, self-esteem, physical activity and a whole lot more. Together with your weight loss coach you will develop and follow a program where you only do what works for you and learn the skills you need to successfully stay slim and healthy for life!
If you are considering this plan, reach out to your local Medi Weightloss provider and ask specific questions about cost and insurance before you invest. You might also want to ask to see a sample meal plan to see if it is something that you feel you can follow. In addition, you can speak with your healthcare provider to get recommendations and suggestions. The more questions you ask, the more likely you will be to find a program that fits your needs.

Men, 42% of which are overweight in this country, also regularly use our treatments which normally consist of three sessions per week for a four-week period. Each session normally lasts around half an hour, with measurements made at the beginning of your course and after the sixth and twelfth sessions so you can track your progress.
Our free monthly support groups provide opportunities before and after surgery to learn and ask questions of our dietitian, psychologist and bariatric nurse, as well as patients who share their personal stories about the challenges and successes of weight loss surgery. Support groups are open to anyone who has had or is planning to have weight loss surgery.

"I have spent much of my life on one diet or another and this is the first programme that has really made a long term difference. I have stopped yo-yo-ing up and down and I have finally managed to stabilise. My weight is pretty much at the same level that it was at the end of my plan and that was nearly two years ago - that's what I call a result!"
Don’t like counting calories? Don’t worry, we don’t either! simportion teaches the art of portion control . We call it an art because a healthy diet should be flexible and enjoyable. Our experts have derived a formula to calculate ideal portions based on your personal details. By self-managing your portions and understanding nutrition, you can enjoy your favourite foods with zero guilt.
However, if your life is chaotic it can be really difficult to focus successfully on the plan. People who work extremely long hours; never do grocery shopping; hardly cook or prepare food at home; travel every week for business; spend most of their meals out socialising or at work events…..these situations make it really hard to do the plan well (although I have had clients in very demanding jobs who have made it work)
Anybody can drop weight dramatically but to actually lose fat without damage to your metabolism requires an approach that is unique in this industry. There have always been rumours of ‘photoshopping’ before and after pictures but the industry’s real ‘dirty secret’ is that many of the photos you see are of people who’ve been starved and dehydrated for a 10 day period before their photoshoot. As soon as they eat a ‘normal’ diet, these people gain huge amounts of fat and can damage their metabolisms to the extent that it’s tough to lose fat in future.
