As you get closer to your weight loss goal, you’ll move into the Short-term Maintenance phase. During this short stage, you can slowly increase your intake of carbohydrates and calories. You'll introduce servings of starch, dairy, and normally there is an increase in the servings of veggies, fruits, and fat. Protein calories may stay the same or change. However, if your life is chaotic it can be really difficult to focus successfully on the plan.  People who work extremely long hours; never do grocery shopping; hardly cook or prepare food at home; travel every week for business; spend most of their meals out socialising or at work events…..these situations make it really hard to do the plan well (although I have had clients in very demanding jobs who have made it work)
Eating healthily will become something you want to do instead of a sacrifice – by learning to value yourself and your body at a whole new level you will want to make sure that you are filling it with high quality fuel. You’ll discover how to balance treats and indulgences with a much healthier overall diet that helps to improve and maintain your health and energy levels without depriving you of all of the foods you love.

During the first phase, also called the Acute Weight Loss phase, you will eat primarily protein foods to get your body into ketosis. Calorie counts during this stage may be low. There are several media reports and reviews from patients stating that they were given daily goals in the 500-800 range. According to the company, those claims are not true:
There are many variables and factors in the complex world of health insurance. Most providers have so many different plans that we cannot give general advice to our patients. We will provide you with a “super bill” for your insurance company. This is signed by our physician with proper coding and any other requirements. You can then submit the bill to your Insurance Carrier for reimbursement. Although we do not see any monies ourselves, we do know that over 50% of our patients do get reimbursed for medical fees.

The technology is selective, meaning that only fat cells are broken down and surrounding important structures such as blood vessels nerves and connective tissue remain intact. The treatment area is marked and each point within that designated area is treated only once to ensure complete and uniform treatment.
