When it comes to dieting and exercise, there is a lot of talk of ‘willpower’. This can backfire and make a person feel bad about them. For example, a person that has tried to unsuccessfully lose weight over and over again will end up feeling they have no willpower or are lazy. With a bit of careful thought, one can see why such an assumption is irrational. How can a person that has tried dieting over and over again be lazy? In the same way, people that talk about willpower tend to have an extreme and radical view of dieting and exercise, and their militant approach to weight loss might not apply to everyone.

I got a grim report on blood tests 3 months ago: liver dysfunction, high sugar & obesity. I had to ...have a seatbelt extension and wheelchair to make it through the airports. I was told to lose weight, which I tried to do for years. I needed help and God sent me here!! I feel like I have friends who care. Three months later I am down 31 lbs, 52 inches, liver enzymes are within normal limits, triglycerides lowered from 251 to 121 and I've started going to aerobics class!!! I still have a long way to go, but I am being successful a day at a time. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! See More
Rigorously structured: you will be given super clear guidelines on what you can and cannot eat. Rules to stick to (3 meals no snacking, 5 hour gap between meals, no oil / fat for the first two weeks, etc etc). A detailed meal structure that will show exactly how many grams of food you should eat at each meal (yes that means using a scale to weigh your food).
You will lose weight quickly and consistently, probably much faster than on any other diet you have tried. We aim for a monthly loss of up to one and a half stone for our patients. Weight loss on Alevere Therapy is predictable so you will know how much weight you are expected to lose each week and how long it should take you to reach your target weight.

Why do we wrestle with what we eat and how much we eat? Sometimes we eat the right foods in the right portions, and sometimes we eat the entire dinner table and all the wrong foods. Why is it so hard to eat healthfully? Whether you're trying to lose a few pounds or maintain a nutritious diet, you'll find many of your eating habits are due to emotional eating. Anybody can drop weight dramatically but to actually lose fat without damage to your metabolism requires an approach that is unique in this industry. There have always been rumours of ‘photoshopping’ before and after pictures but the industry’s real ‘dirty secret’ is that many of the photos you see are of people who’ve been starved and dehydrated for a 10 day period before their photoshoot. As soon as they eat a ‘normal’ diet, these people gain huge amounts of fat and can damage their metabolisms to the extent that it’s tough to lose fat in future.
