I have tried every diet. I lost the weight but always gained it back. I even had gastric bypass and was not able to maintain my weight loss. Dr Lisa Gatenby, MSc; PhD is a Registered Nutritionist, with a PhD in Nutrient intakes and a Masters of Medical Science in Human Nutrition. She is a Registered Nutritionist, approved by the Association for Nutrition (who control the UK voluntary register of Nutritionists). Dr Gatenby started her career with a love of food and worked as a chef for 5 years followed by food development for 4 years before progressing into nutrition. Dr Gatenby has been working in Nutrition for the last 10 years and as well as offering consultancy services works in Public Health, she delivers lectures at various universities. Dr Gatenby helps people meet their goals whilst enjoying tasty and satisfying food.
Obesity, by definition, means your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher, which usually means you are 20 percent or more over ideal body weight. Morbid obesity is defined as having a BMI of 40 or higher and typically means that you are 100 pounds or more overweight. Phase 3: Relax: at this point you will receive a more extended food list allowing you to broaden your meal choices.  This is the time when a weekly 'treat' meal is added in.  Adding exercise at this point is extremely beneficial. This is when most people really start to see a difference in how they look and feel.  Hunger and craving diminish and you will notice how a small amount of food will leave you feeling satisfied.  Energy levels rise, skin looks glowing and all round wellbeing improves.
